I’m a Mum of two girls - juggling motherhood and family life in Berkshire, with the fundraising career that I love.
Before my first role in the fundraising sector, at an agency that worked with lots of UK charities to carve out their strategy; I hoped to one day work for a charity since my teenage years. Volunteering roles throughout those years gave me a taster of the world of fundraising. After a short career break, with a move to Scandinavia having children, I now enjoy being part of a strong team with a collective commitment to the Wish Families that we grant wishes to.
My role at Make-A-Wish
Since joining the Make-A-Wish Regional Fundraising team in January 2019, I’ve been lucky enough to meet some incredible supporters – not to mention work with some inspiring colleagues! The supporters that I meet each and every week are working with us in so many different ways. From personal challenges and amateur boxing events to sponsored haircuts and corporate SAS-style bootcamps; what aligns them all is their doubtless determination to help us raise more funds, to grant more transformational wishes.
I focus on building partnerships with Community Corporates in the South Central part of England. Underpinning our partnerships is a commitment to understanding our partners’ business objectives, ensuring a mutually beneficial relationship. Success is always down to working with a Community Corporate to create a bespoke fundraising plan, made up of ways to raise funds that tie in with the team’s interests.
I’m looking forward to many years ahead of being part of some wacky and wonderful fundraising activity!
